Tutorial 2 Populating your Timetable

This is the second tutorial in a series that show you how to use iMagic Timetable Master. This tutorial steps you through populating a timetable. It is presumed that you have already created a timetable, if you haven't you may want to review the first tutorial before continuing.

You can create three types of timetable Tutor, Class or Room. For each type the procedure is slightly different.

A Class Timetable:

1. Click the period you want to change on the timetable.
2. Start typing the tutor's name, and a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
3. Start typing the subject name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
4. Start typing the room name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
5. Continue this procedure for each period.

A Tutor Timetable:

1. Click the period you want to change on the timetable.
2. Start typing the tutor's name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
3. Start typing the subject name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
4. Start typing the class's name, and a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
5. Continue this procedure for each period.

A Room Timetable:

1. Click the period you want to change on the timetable.
2. Start typing the subject name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
3. Start typing the room name, again a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
4. Start typing the class's name, and a list of similar names appears that you can choose from. Once you have finished press enter.
5. Continue this procedure for each period.

Tips

You can save time when populating class timetables by using the Auto Fill feature.
By using the Subject, Room, Class and Tutor lists you can avoid having to retype names.
If you make a mistake you can clear the entire period by clicking Clear on the toolbar. If you only want to blank a single item, such as a tutor name, you can select from the Tutor list.
